Two superbly renovated barn gites in the Dordogne valley near the beautiful, friendly market town of Argentat. The barn is situated in a meadow of walnut trees looking down onto the river Dordogne, surrounded by wooded hillsides. There are beautiful, uninterrupted views from every window/door.
Argentat has many good restaurants and a lovely market. In the summer there are many fairs with live music as well as art and pottery exhibitions. Activities include canoeing, cycling, walking, golf, tennis, fishing, bird watching and hang gliding or relaxing by our heated pool.
The spacious, light, comfortable lounge/diner opens out onto the south west, the kitchen onto the east with a patio and garden furniture. Kitchen fully equipped with dishwasher and microwave, utility room with washing machine etc. A spacious bathroom with wet room shower, twin wash basins and wc also on the ground floor. Upstairs there are 3 large double bedrooms which can accommodate other beds or cots and a spacious bathroom with corner bath, wet room shower, twin wash basins and wc.
Underfloor heating downstairs with woodburner in lounge to create a cosy ambiance in winter and the thick stone walls with double glazing throughout keep a cool temperature in the hot summer months.
